Testify

Hello everyone!

This is the beauty of Finland right now! It snowed for the first time this week!

I don’t have very much time today, but here are a few week highlights!

Sister Jordan is the greatest companion and trainee could ask for! She’s so good at loving the people here!

This week we found 12 people who said they might be interested in learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will follow up with them this week to see if we can teach them so please keep them in your prayers that they will have the desire and possibly to learn. One woman who we already followed up with was set on learning more, but when we called to confirm our appointment she said her husband wouldn’t let her speak with us. It was so sad to hear that because we were so excited for her to learn more about Christ’s love for her. But! We just hope that someday she will have the chance to learn more about Jesus Christ. Pray for her please!

When you talked to people all day on the streets and at their homes sometimes it’s easy to just say the same thing over and over again, so on Sunday evening Sister Jordan and I tried something new. As it was the Sabbath day we decided to just testify of our Savior Jesus Christ (as opposed to asking if they had every heard of the Book of Mormon or talking about other good things.) Well! Testifying about Jesus Christ really is powerful because the first two people we stopped that evening actually listened. After a brief conversation about Christ we asked for their phone number. They said they had ours and that would be enough. Instead of leaving it at that I asked the man to read Moroni’s promise. He looked at me like I was crazy because I wanted him to read it out loud on the sidewalk, but he read it! And then I promised that he could pray to know for himself that the Book of Mormon was true and that if he truly wanted to know that it was the word of God that the Holy Ghost would testify of it’s truth. Right after that (without us asking again) he suddenly said, okay you can have my phone number. We were taken aback and quickly got out our planners to jot it down. Powerful things happen when we testify of Christ and the Holy Ghost can testify with us. We will call him next week when his schedule is more free. Please pray for him too!

I love all of you so much!!

Thanks for all of the letters! Please keep sending them!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Faithfully,
Sister Adams
